Caretaker PM calls federal cabinet meeting today

The cabinet will also approve the decision about not facilitating officers of electricity companies with free-of-cost electricity.

Islamabad: A meeting of the federal cabinet chaired by caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has been convened today (Wednesday), in which the six-point agenda will be considered.

According to details, the meeting will be held at the Prime Minister's House where country's political and economic situation will be reviewed. Apart from this, issues related to the 5th round of the Free Trade Agreement with the Gulf countries will also be considered.

During the meeting, the cabinet will also approve to add more countries to Pakistan Business Visa Online List and the 2023-24 budget of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Council.

It is further reported that Hajj Policy 2024 will be presented again in the cabinet meeting with minor changes. The approval of tax on abnormal profits on foreign exchange to banks in the financial year 2021-2022 is also part of the agenda.

The Federal Cabinet will also review the withdrawal of names from ECL and the inclusion of names, while the cabinet will also approve the decision of Cabinet Committee on Energy regarding to not facilitate officers of electricity companies with free-of-cost electricity.
