PML-N gears up preparation for upcoming elections

Lahore: The Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) has intensified its preparations for the upcoming elections, with Senior Vice President Maryam Nawaz leading a party meeting.

 During the session, Maryam Nawaz expressed contentment with the performance of the Muslim Students Federation (MSF) and the minority wing.

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has officially notified the general elections for February 8, 2024, in compliance with the Supreme Court's directive.

The meeting emphasized the active involvement of the minority wing and the youth in the impending general elections. Maryam Nawaz reiterated PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif's desire for the youth to take the lead in political activities, emphasizing their role in Pakistan's development.

 In another development, the PML-N has formed a 35-member central parliamentary board, headed by Senator Ishaq Dar, tasked with granting tickets to potential candidates for the elections scheduled for February 8. Party spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb confirmed the board's formation, approved by Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif, with members including Khawaja Asif, Ahsan Iqbal, Hamza Shahbaz, and others.
