IAF training plane crashes, two pilots killed

IAF ordered an immediate investigation to find out the causes of the accident.

Mumbai: A training plane of the Indian Air Force (IAF) Monday crashed during the flight, killing two pilots on board.

According to Indian media, this accident happened in Medak district of Telangana state. The training plane had taken a routine training flight from the Air Force Academy in Hyderabad and during the flight, the plane had an accident in the air, as a result of which the trainer and the trainee pilot were killed.

The Indian Air Force confirmed the accident and said that the PC-7 MK aircraft crashed towards Surti in which both the pilots sustained serious injuries from which they could not survive.

IAF ordered an immediate investigation to find out the causes of the accident.

According to Indian media, the plane involved in the accident is a single-engine aircraft used for basic training of the Air Force.
