Court to declare Shahzad Akbar, Zulfi Bukhari, Malik Riaz as proclaimed offenders

Islamabad: The court proceeding to declare Shahzad Akbar, Zulfi Bukhari, Malik Riaz, Farah Shahzadi among other co-accused in the 190 million pounds reference has started.

According to details, the Accountability Court Islamabad issued a written order in which it directed to put up advertisements outside the residences of the accused.

According to the order issued by Judge Muhammad Bashir, the investigating officer of the reference, Mian Umar Nadeem, said that the six accused involved in the reference are Malik Riaz, Mirza Shahzad Akbar and Zia-ul-Mustafa Naseem. The arrest warrants of Zulfi Bukhari, Ahmed Riaz, Farhat Shahzadi could not be complied with.

According to the investigation officer's report, the accused are deliberately not complying with the arrest warrant. The court is sure that the accused are fugitives and are hiding to avoid arrest, the order said. Advertisements should be pasted outside the residences of the accused.

The further proceedings against the accused will be held on January 6.
