50% polling stations classified as sensitive, highly sensitive for elections
46,065 polling stations out of 90,675 polling stations across the country have been declared as highly sensitive or sensitive.
Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Monday declared 50 percent of the polling stations as sensitive or highly sensitive for the February 8 elections.
According to the announcement, 46,065 polling stations out of 90,675 polling stations across the country have been declared as highly sensitive or sensitive.
It is reported that 18,437 polling stations have been declared highly sensitive and 27,628 polling stations have been declared sensitive.
6,040 polling stations in Punjab have been declared highly sensitive, 12,580 polling stations as sensitive, 6,524 polling stations in Sindh have been declared highly sensitive and 6545 have been declared sensitive.
The 4143 polling stations of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have been declared highly sensitive, 6166 polling stations as sensitive.
Out of 5,028 polling stations in Balochistan, only 961 were declared normal. 1,730 polling stations of Balochistan were declared highly sensitive and 2,337 polling stations were declared sensitive.
