IHC orders to prevent harassment of PTI candidates
The judge Aamer issued the orders on the application of Shoaib Shaheen and Ali Bukhari.
Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Tuesday ordered not to harass Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidates and workers.
According to the details, the petition for the permission to run campaign and prevent the harassment of PTI candidates was heard in the IHC.
Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court Aamer Farooq heard the appeals of PTI leaders Shoaib Shaheen and Ali Bukhari Advocate.
The judge Aamer issued the orders on the application of Shoaib Shaheen and Ali Bukhari.
During the hearing, lawyer Shoaib told the court that the police picked up their supporters and warned to leave PTI and join another party.
Shaheen further told that they get phone calls for not holding any raalies or meeting, if so, a case will be filed against them.
Lawyer Ali Bukhari stated in the court that the election campaign and rallies that were supposed to be held have happened, today is the last day, ‘Our polling agents are being threatened by calls’.
Shoaib Shaheen said that if the model police of Islamabad will adopt this behavior, then what image would it create to the outer world.
