Karachi: Pakistan Peoples' Party (PPP) leader Khawaja Sohail Mansoor on Wednesday resigned from the party following the defeat in the 2024 general elections.

Khawaja Sohail Mansoor, a former Muttahida Qaumi Movement – Pakistan (MQM-P) MNA, joined the PPP last year.

His announcement to join PPP was made during a joint press conference with PPP Sindh chapter president and provincial minister Saeed Ghani, who warmly welcomed Khawaja Sohail Mansoor and his supporters to the party.

Khawaja Sohail Mansoor submitted his resignation to the party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, citing personal reasons for his decision to leave the PPP.
