Pakistan opens walk-in vaccination for citizens aged 30 and above

After enabling walk-in vaccination for people over 40, the same facility has been extended to people over30, starting today, said Minister for Planning and Development, Asad Umar on Friday.

Taking to twitter, the federal minister who also heads National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) said that the government has decided to allow walk-vaccination of 30 above from tomorrow.

“So if you are 30 or older and registered please go to any vaccination centre and get vaccinated,” he added.

In another tweet, Asad Umar wrote that so far 5 million people have been vaccinated against coronavirus.

“Kindly vaccinate yourself so government can reduce restrictions,” he added.

Meanwhile, the NCOC also decided to open walk-in vaccination for teachers above 18 years, to ensure safe environment for education and conduct of examinations.

"Teachers can walk-in to any vaccination center with CNIC, stamped letter from head of Institution / Teachers’ ID Card, and get themselves vaccinated," NCOC tweeted.

On May 27, the government opened vaccine registration for citizens over 19 years old. The government intends to inculcate 70 million people against Covid-19 by end of this year.
