Cylinder explosion injures eight, two roofs collapse

Faisalabad: In an unfortunate incident, eight people were injured and the roofs of two houses collapsed due to gas cylinder explosion in Faisalabad, GNN reported.
According to rescue officials, the incident took place in a house in 202 Chak Gutti, a suburb of Faisalabad. The cylinder explosion was so intense that the roofs of two adjacent houses were blown off.
It is also reported that after the blast, the residents of both houses were buried under the debris. Five people including husband and wife and children in the family were burnt, while three were injured due to being buried under the debris.
Rescue teams reached the spot on receiving the information and started rescue operations. The officials took the injured out from under the debris and shifted them to the Allied Hospital and the fire in the house was also brought under control.
It is pertinent to note that similar cylinder explosions took place in Multan, Rawalpindi and Quetta yesterday too, in which children were killed and their families were seriously injured.
