Baseless allegations are damaging the country's image: Sheikh Rasheed
Islamabad: Federal interior Minister, Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has said that baseless allegations and smear campaigns against intelligence agencies are damaging the country's image.
While addressing presser, the interior minister said that some people are maligning the national institutions without any reason.
Referring to the journalist Asad Toor’s attack case, Sheikh Rasheed said that that Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), National Database & Registration Authority (NADRA) and police are probing into the case and facts will be brought forth after due investigation,” he said adding that some people are targeting agencies in order to serve their foreign masters.
Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed says the government is equipping the cyber wing with modern gadgets.
Criticizing the opposition, the federal minister said that Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) has lost its momentum.
“I had already predicted that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) will be divided,” he said adding that Prime Minister Imran Khan will complete his tenure regardless of PDM plans.
The interior minister further said that 30% Pakistanis will soon get Saudi Arabia visas adding that remittances have played a significant role in economic growth.
