Met dept warns of intense heat across Pakistan
Meteorologists have advised citizens to cover their heads and drink plenty of water to avoid heat waves
Islamabad: The Meteorological Department has warned that due to heat wave in May, there is a possibility of an increase in the temperature across Pakistan.
According to the Department of Meteorology, the weather will be hot and dry in most parts of the country this week, while it will be very hot in the southern regions.
The meteorological department stated that due to the rains in April and May in Islamabad, the heat intensity has not yet increased, but the coming days are going to be very hot.
Director General of the Department of Meteorology Mehr Sahibzada Khan said that more than normal rains will be recorded in Pakistan this year, likely affecting Sindh and Balochistan the most.
He added that from now the temperature will start increasing due to which the areas of South Punjab will also be under the influence of heat wave.
