PCB decided not to appoint any vice-captain for the upcoming T20 World Cup

Lahore: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has not offered vice-captaincy to Sheheen Shah Afridi for the upcoming T20 World Cup, GNN reported quoting sources.
According to the sources, PCB decided not to appoint any vice-captain for the upcoming T20 World Cup.
The sources told that Babar Azam is the authorized captain of the Pakistan cricket team. If there was any plan to appoint a vice-captain it would have been done with yesterday's team announcement.
However, according to sources, the selection committee had offered Shaheen to be the vice-captain which was refused by him.
It is pertinent to note that Babar Azam is the captain of Pakistan's T20 team, but no vice-captain has been announced by PCB yet.
The ICC T20 World Cup is going to be held in America and West Indies after a few days and it is reported that after Shaheen's refusal, wicket keeper Muhammad Rizwan is a strong candidate for the vice-captain of the national team, while there is also option of Shadab Khan.
