Judicial Magistrate Abbas Shah granted bail against the surety bond of Rs100,000
Islamabad: District and Sessions Courts Islamabad Monday granted bail to former Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas and ordered his release.
According to the details, the judicial magistrate Abbas Shah of session court heard the post-bail appeal in case of illegal use of diplomatic passport against the former prime minister of Azad Kashmir, Tanveer Ilyas.
The officials of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) presented the record of the case in the court.
Lawyer of Sardar Tanveer Ilyas argued that the maximum punishment under these provisions is three years, therefore the accused should get bail, the passport has also been returned.
The FIA prosecutor opposed the bail of former Prime Minister Azad Kashmir, however, the sessions court granted the bail.
Judicial Magistrate Abbas Shah granted bail against the surety bond of Rs100,000 and ordered the release of the former Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir.
It is pertinent to note that on earlierMay 19, the Margalla police arrested the former prime minister of Azad Kashmir on the charge of vandalism. Tanveer Ilyas was accused of vandalizing a company's office, the case of which was registered at Margalla police station.
