Pakistan to remain hostage to conspirations till action against May 9 culprits: ISPR

Rawalpindi: In the Corps Commanders' Conference chaired by Army Chief General Asim Munir, once again the determination to bring the accused of May 9 to justice was reiterated, saying that immediate, transparent judicial and legal action should be taken against the criminals of May 9. Without it, the country will remain hostage to conspiratorial elements.

In a statement issued by the Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) Department of the Pakistan Army, it was stated that the 83rd Formation Commanders Conference was held under the chairmanship of Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir, which was attended by Corps Commanders, Principal Staff Officers and all formation commanders of the Pakistan Army.

According to ISPR, the forum recited Fatiha for the martyrs and paid tribute to the great sacrifices of the martyrs including the officers and men of the armed forces, law enforcement agencies and Pakistani citizens for the safety, security and independence of the country.

The forum was briefed on the geo-strategic situation, emerging challenges to national security and the strategy of the Pakistan Army to deal with multi-domain threats, the Public Relations Department said.

According to the declaration of the formation commander conference, the nation of Pakistan is fully aware of the nefarious intentions of those who spread lies and propagandists. The purpose of propaganda is to create a gap between the national institutions, especially the forces of Pakistan, and the people. The aim is to create despair in the Pakistani nation with lies and propaganda, but the nefarious intentions of these evil forces will be completely and surely defeated.

The Forum reiterated once again that the May 9 planners, perpetrators and facilitators should be brought to justice. Without prompt, transparent judicial and legal action against the perpetrators of May 9, the country will remain hostage to the conspiratorial elements.
