New York: Ahead of the crucial Pakistan-India match in the T20 World Cup 2024, the national team has undergone a significant change. Sources report that Azam Khan has been dropped from the lineup for the game.

Details indicate that just before today's highly anticipated clash between traditional rivals Pakistan and India, a key update emerged about the national team's roster. According to sources, the cricket teams of Pakistan and India will compete today at a stadium in New York, and Azam Khan will not be part of the Pakistan team. It was noted that Azam Khan missed the batting practice session due to the head coach's dissatisfaction with his recent performance.

Additionally, there is a strong likelihood that Imad Wasim will be rejoining the team in place of Azam Khan.

Azam Khan, the national team's wicketkeeper-batter, faced heavy criticism from fans for his poor performance against the USA in the ICC T20 World Cup.

In that match, Azam Khan was dismissed for a duck. Despite this, former Pakistan Test wicketkeeper-batter Kamran Akmal has defended him.
