People protest against worst load shedding on Eid in KP

Peshawar: The people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are protesting against the worst load shedding on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha.

Loud slogans were raised by the protesters and long queues of vehicles were formed due to the protest. The ambulances also got stuck in the rush while the car of former Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak also got stuck in the rush.

He, while talking to the citizens said that you have made a good decision by voting, now be patient for five years.

On the other hand, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insf (PTI) leader Asad Qaiser came to the field against load shedding in Swabi and said that people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are being avenged for voting for PTI, enough is enough! There will be a protest on the assembly floor against load shedding and will also go to the public.

While, there was a strong protest by women against electricity load shedding in Kirk and the protesters blocked Shagai Road.

Apart from this, Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Fazal Elahi entered Rehman Baba Grid Station and restored power to 10 feeders.

The video of the unique style of power restoration also went viral on social media. In the video, the member of the assembly can be seen lying on cots in the grid station with his colleagues.

The Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) has decided to take action against MPA Fazal Elahi, Sub Divisional Officer (SDO) Rashid Garhi Sub Division PESCO has written a letter to Rehman Baba Police Station to file First Information Report (FIR) against Fazal Elahi and his associates.

The text of the FIR stated that MPA Fazal Elahi and a man named Jameel along with 45 people stormed Rehman Baba Grid Station. Fazl Elahi forcibly activated Akhunabad and Shlozan feeders in the presence of the police. PESCO had to suffer a loss of Rs2.64 million due to the forced activation of the feeder.
