Good news for students as OCAS starts receiving applications for college admissions

Lahore:  The Online College Admissions System (OCAS) has started receiving online applications for Intermediate admissions in more than 800 public colleges across Punjab.

The web portal, developed by the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) in collaboration with the Higher Education Department Punjab, allows students to apply online from the comfort of their homes to their chosen public colleges.

So far, the portal has received over 35,500 online applications for Intermediate admissions. Among these, over 15,500 students have applied for ICS, 8,500 for FA, 7,500 for Pre-Medical, 1,900 for I.Com, and 1,600 for Pre-Engineering.

In this regard, PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf stated, “Through OCAS, students can apply online from anywhere in Punjab while staying in their hometowns.” The system's convenience and accessibility have made it easier for students to pursue their educational aspirations without the need to travel or wait in long queues, he added.

Students can also download the pdf version of the government colleges prospectus for free from the online portal. Visit ocas.punjab.gov.pk/ to apply online.
