CM Punjab okays construction of new corridors
Three projects will be completed by December 2025 for Rs210 billion
Lahore: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Tuesday approved the construction of new corridors in different cities.
A special meeting was held under the chairmanship of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam in which approval was given to build new corridors in different cities.
In the meeting, it was decided that a two-way road will be built from Sahiwal to Chichawatani, from Rajana to Leh, and from Dipalpur to Wahari. A single road will be converted into a two-way road, while a new two-way road will be built from Shorekot to Jhang Chiragwali.
The three projects will be completed by December 2025 for 210 billion rupees.
Chief Minister ordered to start the construction of new corridor in three months. All three corridors will be completed with the cooperation of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Punjab Government.
Maryam Nawaz said that road corridors connecting big cities will make it easier for people to travel. It will not only reduce travel problems but will also play an important role in economic development.
