PCB chief to hand over cricket affairs to ex-captain

Lahore: The Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Mohsin Naqvi decided to hand over the cricket affairs to former captain Waqar Younis.
According to media reports, Mohsin Naqvi will look after the administrative affairs and a cricketer will be responsible for all the decisions regarding cricket.
The cricketer will make all the decisions including international, domestic, selection committee affairs, and NOC of the players, while Chairman PCB Mohsin will focus on administration.
It is also reported that Chairman Mohsin Naqvi's primary focus is on the management of the Champions Trophy.
It has also been decided to appoint former captain Waqar Younis to a higher position in the PCB. He will look after the affairs of men's cricket.
According to the PCB Constitution 2014, the Chairman has the authority to delegate his power to someone.
Waqar Younis will oversee all matters related to the national team. He will look after the National Selection Committee white ball and red ball coaches.
The media reports suggest that PCB Chairman Naqvi wants to involve experienced cricketers in important matters of cricket.
