Maryam Nawaz announces Rs100 million as reward for Javelin thrower for making history in Olympics

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Friday congratulated Javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem on his remarkable victory at Paris Olympics for securing gold medal for the country.
Maryam Nawaz announced Rs100 million as reward for him.
On occasion of Independence Day, Arshad Nadeem secured big victory and gifted gold medal to the nation.
“The whole nation is grateful to Arshad Nadeem,” said Maryam Nawaz while announcing reward for him.
The Punjab CM also announced to establish a sports city after name of Arshad Nadeem in Mian Channu.
“Arshad Nadeem has won the gold medal for Pakistan after a long period of 40 years, said the CM, acknowledging his hard work and efforts against all odds.
She said that he made remarkable achievement in the Olympics history which is result of his hard work, commitment, dedication and national spirit.
Separately, Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan also announced reward worth Rs2mn for Arshad Nadeem. He also invited him to Governor House after his return from Paris.
