PTI will organize peaceful procession in Islamabad, assures Barrister Saif
KP info minister says party always hold public gathering with the administration’s approval
Islamabad: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Advisor Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif assured that the party would maintain law and order during the upcoming procession in Islamabad.
Speaking at a press conference on Sunday, Barrister Saif accused the Islamabad administration of deliberately obstructing the party's plans for a public gathering scheduled for August 22.
"There will be no breach of law during the public gathering, and everything will proceed peacefully," he emphasized, adding that the party has always coordinated public events with the administration’s approval.
Addressing the recent resignation of Minister Shakeel Ahmed, Saif dispelled rumors of corruption within Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's government departments. He explained that a good governance committee, established by Imran Khan, investigated the corruption allegations against Shakeel Ahmed.
The committee found sufficient evidence to support the complaints and recommended Shakeel Ahmed's dismissal. Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur acted on this recommendation, forwarding the dismissal summary to the governor. However, Shakeel Khan resigned before the formal action was taken and later held a press conference to clarify his position.
Saif also mentioned that complaints about corruption were brought to Imran Khan while he was in jail, prompting Khan to reaffirm his zero-tolerance stance on corruption.
Finally, Barrister Saif denied any internal conflict within the party, dismissing social media rumors. He stressed that Imran Khan has urged all party members and leaders to remain united and confirmed that all media statements from party leaders have been made with Imran Khan's approval.
