Islamabad: An uninterrupted gas supply will be ensured for all fertilizer plants to produce Urea for Rabi season.
The decision to this effect was taken during a meeting chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, in Islamabad today.
Various measures were considered to ensure availability of fertilizer in sufficient quantity and at reasonable price for wheat sowing during the coming Rabi season.
It was decided to ensure continuous supply of gas to avoid loss of imports and foreign exchange.
The Deputy Prime Minister also urged the provincial governments to increase market surveillance so that prices remain stable and profiteers do not get a chance to benefit themselves.
