Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Spokesperson Rauf Hassan hoped and prayed that the deadlock between the military and PTI would no longer persist.

He stated that PTI has always maintained a position of wanting to engage with the military, and that they have done everything they could to resolve the deadlock.

In an interview with Voice of America, Rauf Hassan reiterated his hope that the impasse between the military and PTI would not continue. He emphasized that PTI has always been open to dialogue with the military and that their doors remain open for discussions.

He further mentioned that, in the interest of the state, it is crucial for PTI and the establishment to engage in talks. He assured that any dialogue with the military would be conducted within the constitutional framework.

Rauf Hassan noted that if all institutions operate within their constitutional limits, instability will diminish. He also acknowledged that individual-level contacts could be helpful in advancing the dialogue.

Rauf Hassan added that Imran Khan has given Mahmood Achakzai permission to engage with political parties, and if positive outcomes can be achieved through dialogue with them, efforts should certainly be made.
