Suspect arrested from Lahore Airport in connection with Johar Town blast
Lahore: Intelligence agencies have arrested a suspect from Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport in connection with Johar Town blast that claimed three lives.
According to GNN, the unidentified man arrested from Lahore Airport is a Gujranwala resident who was trying to flee to Karachi from Lahore.
The suspect was offloaded from the flight and taken into custody. Police investigators told GNN that the car used in the blast was sold six times and that David Pual bought this car in Gujranwala.
They said Paul handed over car to terrorists on the recommendation of someone. The suspect denied that he knew the suspects.
On the other hand, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) and intelligence agencies have completed the process of gathering evidence from the site of Lahore’s Johar Town blast.
According to details, the investigation into Lahore blast is underway and CTD has collected pieces of iron, ball-bearings and parts of vehicle that was used in the explosion.
The process of geo-fencing has also been completed. Separately, the CTD arrested several suspects during raids in various cities of Punjab.
It is pertinent to mention here that three people were killed while dozens other sustained injuries in Lahore blast yesterday.
The injured were shifted to Jinnah Hospital where they were given treatment and 11 have been discharged from the hospital.
