Islamabad: Security sources said that the army has been called in Islamabad to deal with the chaos during the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protest, the Interior Ministry has issued a notification in this regard.

According to sources, the Pakistan Army has also been called under Article 245 and it has been made clear that those who break the law will be dealt with an iron hand.

According to the notification, the army has also been authorized to impose a curfew to maintain law and order in any area.

Sources stated that clear orders have been given to the security agencies to shoot those who spread chaos on the spot.

It is pertinent to note that during the PTI protest demonstration in Islamabad, miscreants rammed a vehicle into Rangers personnel on the Srinagar Highway, in which four Rangers personnel were martyred while five Rangers and two police personnel were also seriously injured. More than 100 police personnel have been injured so far, many of them in serious condition.
