PM to visit Bahawalpur, inaugurate several development projects
Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan will be paying a day-long visit to Bahawalpur today (Wednesday) to inaugurate various development projects.
As per details, Additional Chief Secretary South Punjab Capt (r) Saqib Zafar, will brief the premier about the South Punjab Secretariat.
Following the day-long visit Imran Khan will also visit the Islamia University of Bahawalpur where he is expected to inaugurate various projects including National Cotton Breeding Institute, Intercropping Research Centre, 2.5 MW Solar Power project, University College of Nursing, Cricket Stadium.
Khan will also address Kissan Convention and distribute Kissan Cards among farmers.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader is also likely to announce the Bahawalpur-Jhangra link road to connect Bahawalpur with M5 Motorway.
Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research Syed Fakhar Imam and Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Food Security Jamshed Iqbal Cheema will be accompanying the Premier.
Yesterday, Prime Minister Imran Khan inaugurated the ship lift and transfer system at Karachi shipyard, which will help improve the efficiency of the shipping sector.
On August 9, he inaugurated the world’s biggest Miyawaki urban forest in Lahore, as part of a monsoon drive under the 10 Billion Tree Tsunami project.
