Pakistan FM meets his Japanese counterpart

Pakistan Foreign Minister (FM) Shah Mehmood Qureshi met Japan’s FM Mr Motegi Toshimitsu on the sidelines of the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

Both sides had words on bilateral relations, the situation in Afghanistan and other issues of mutual interest.

“Establishing lasting peace and stability in Afghanistan is important for the region,” says Shah Mehmood Qureshi.

Qureshi noted that Pakistan considers Japan a reliable development partner.

“Pakistan attaches great importance to its political and economic relations with Japan.”
