Rawalpindi: Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed took charge of Peshawar Corps Commander, ISPR said on Monday.

According the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lieutenant General Nauman Mahmood handed over Command of Peshawar Corps to Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed today at Corps Headquarters Peshawar.

On October 6, the Pakistan Army transferred ISI chief Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed and appointed him as Peshawar Corps Commander.

Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed HI(M) is a three-star ranking general in the Pakistan Army. He was commissioned in Baloch regiment and served as the 24th Director-General of the spy agency Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). From April to June 2019, he was Adjutant General at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. He had previously served as head of the counter intelligence wing of the ISI and currently serving as Commander XI Corps Peshawar since 20 November 2021.
