Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar has said that Rs 1.16 billion has been allocated for air rescue service, a historic step to facilitate rescue services.

On the direction of Chief Minister Punjab, Air Rescue Service Project has been included in the Annual Development Program 2021-22.

The Cabinet Standing Committee on Finance and Development approved the inclusion of the Air Rescue Service project in the annual development program.

The Punjab Chief Minister said that Rs. 1.16 billion has been allocated for air rescue service.

He said that the fastest rescue facility would be available to the patients. The rescue air ambulance service will be able to save the injured and other precious human lives.

Usman Bazdar said that the dream of Rescue Air Ambulance project is coming true. Inshallah this project will start this financial year.

The Punjab Chief Minister said that this project would revolutionize the rescue services. This is a project of pure public interest, it will be completed as soon as possible.

He further said that Punjab would have the honor of launching the first rescue air ambulance in South Asia.

Earlier on Saturday, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has inaugurated mobile application of Rescue 1122 in Lahore.

According to details, the Chief Minister said that mobile application will help rescue teams to access the exact location of the accident.

CM Usman Buzdar said this app will not only resolve issue of unnecessary calls but standard of emergency services will also be improved.

The Chief Minister said that the scope of Motorbike Rescue Service in Punjab is being extended to the remaining 27 districts while Punjab will be the first province in South Asia where rescue air ambulance is going to be launched while rescue wire ambulance has been approved.

It is pertinent to remember that Rescue 1122’s Emergency Helpline app has been developed, now citizens will be able to call for Rescue 1122 and also call for ambulance and rescue bikes through the mobile app.

This mobile App Will be able to choose the option and the emergency team with the required demand will arrive at their location.
