Islamabad: Amid a steady decline in Covid-19 infections, Pakistan have seen a spike in coronavirus as the country reported 370 fresh case.
Around 370 fresh coronavirus cases emerged while 4 people succumbed to the disease in last 24 hours amid 'Omicron' threat.
Following the alarming situation, Pakistan’s government will step up COVID-19 vaccination efforts and is expanding the criteria for vaccine booster shots.

According to the latest figures issued by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), 250 persons were tested positive while 3 died in the past 24 hours— taking Pakistan's COVID death toll to 28,843.
The total number of cases has reached 1,289,913.
As many as 1,251,778 patients have recovered from the disease.
Punjab
The number of patients swelled to 443,985 in the province with 13,052 causalities.
Sindh
The number of infections has surged to 478,412 in the province, while the death toll has reached 7,640.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
The confirmed cases have surged to 180,760 in the province with 5,896 casualties.
Balochistan
There are 33,539 confirmed cases while 363 patients have died from the infection so far.
AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan
There are 34,618 coronavirus cases in the AJK while the death toll has reached 743. On the other hand, there are 10,427 cases in GB with 186 coronavirus deaths.
Islamabad
There are 108,172 cases in the capital city while 963 people have lost their lives.
