Islamabad: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain Wednesday said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government was fighting against the organized mafia.

On his official twitter handle, the Federal Minister said that the World Bank had confirmed Pakistan’s 5.37% growth rate and the government’s policies to deal with coronavirus were being praised globally.

He said it was strange that Transparency International’s meaningless report hit the headlines, which has only claims and no reason mentioned.

Fawad added that the index didn’t mention financial corruption in the report, yet such stories were added in the press release, giving the corrupt opposition the courage to criticize the government.

While taking a jibe at Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) leaders, the Minister said it was strange that such people were claiming that the ruling government was corrupt.

Their claim is tantamount to spit on the sun, added Fawad.
