Leading Sri Lankan spinner bowler announces retirement

He hit 1456 runs across formats and scalped 177 wickets during his international career.

Colombo: Sri Lankan off-spinner Dilruwan Perera has announced his retirement from all forms of international cricket with immediate effect.

In his retirement letter written to Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), Perera however said that he will continue to play domestic Cricket.

Dilruwan Perera, 39, has represented Sri Lanka in 43 Tests, 13 ODIs and three T20I matches. His career spans 11 years. He has taken 161 wickets in Tests. It was the 10 wickets he took against Australia at the Galle Stadium.

The all-rounder represented Sri Lanka across all international formats. He hit 1456 runs across formats and scalped 177 wickets during his international career.
