"Hike in petrol price is a cruel act of tyrant, false and corrupt government"

Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President and Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shahbaz Sharif lashed out at the PTI-led government for skyrocketing prices of petrol.
While talking to media, PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif criticised the ruling government for increasing the price of petrol in the country by Rs 12.03 per litre, taking its price to a record level of Rs 159.86 per litre.
The opposition leader said that the country is witnessing record inflation for the first time in history, while poverty and unemployment are also persistently increasing due to the policies of the incumbent government.
"It is the result of Imran Khan Niazi's and his government’s negligence and corruption," he said.
Criticising the government's decision to increase petroleum prices, Shahbaz said that the regime is committing the "economic murder of the poor."
"This incompetent and corrupt government has plunged the nation in the tsunami of inflation," he said.
The opposition leader said as long as the PTI government remain in power, the economy of the country would keep going down. He labelled Prime Minister Imran Khan Niazi as an incompetent, cruel and corrupt ruler.
On the other hand, Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly Hamza Shahbaz Sharif said that such a drastic increase of Rs12/liter in the petroleum prices is nothing but “economic murder” of the people.
PML-N leader said that petroleum prices have reached a record high of 159 rupees and government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is responsible for this.
Hamza Shahbaz said that Prime Minister Imran Khan loots the people of our country by hiking petroleum prices after every 15 days. On what agenda are the people of Pakistan being buried under these price hikes, asked the opposition leader.
The PML-N leader further stated that this government has mortgaged the economy of our country to foreign institutions, causing the people to bear the burden.
