Current academic session will end on May 31 instead of March 31 in the educational institutes in Punjab


Lahore: The Punjab government has reduced the duration of the holidays from three months to two months in educational institutes.
According to the notification, the provincial government announced summer vacations in all educational institutes from June 1, 2022, to July 31, 2022.
So now the summer vacations in educational institutions across Punjab will be for only two months this year and the new academic year will start on August 1 instead of April 1. The current academic session will end on May 31 instead of March 31 in the educational institutes in Punjab.
On the other hand, on the issue of educating more than 5 million children out of schools, the School Education Department has planned to start a second shift in 4,000 more schools for students. The department also prepared an estimate of Rs3 billion for upgradation. Upgradation of schools will be done in the next financial year.
