The tour is Australia’s first in Pakistan since 1998.

Australia has announced its 16-member white-ball squad for the historic tour of Pakistan.
According to details, Aaron Finch has been named as a captain of the team. Australia are taking a full-strength Test squad on their first Pakistan tour in 24 years, with three subsequent one-day internationals (ODI) and one Twenty20 match.
As per squad, several big names including David Warner, Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Starc and Glenn Maxwell are giving the series a miss. Hence, in David’s absence, Ben McDermott will continue as Finch’s opening partner.
Moreover, Matthew Wade hasn’t been included as only one T20I will be played in the entire tour.
“We have picked a talented and versatile squad with a number of challenges to juggle," said chair of selectors George Bailey.
The tour is Australia’s first in Pakistan since 1998.
Cricket-enthusiast Pakistan have struggled to entice foreign sides back following a deadly terror attack on the Sri Lanka Test side in 2009.
The Test squad, however, is due to leave for Pakistan at the weekend.
