Lahore: In the 7th edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) at Lahore, the second match of the play-offs will be played today (Thursday) between Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi.
Both teams are set to face off in the first eliminator as the PSL approaches its conclusion. The match will start at 7.30 pm.
Peshawar Zalmi have the wind in their sails as they got off to a slow start losing two of their first three matches, but they have been excellent since then. In their last match of the round-robin, they held their nerve to edge out Lahore Qalandars in a super over.
Peshawar Zalmi will lock horns with Islamabad United in Eliminator 1 of the Pakistan Super League 2022 at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Thursday, February 24.
Peshawar Zalmi ended the group stage in third place on the points table with 12 points. Their last three results include two wins and a defeat. The Zalmi have been impressive throughout the season, winning six of their ten games.
In contrast, United started well, but have tapered off. They are coming with three straight defeats at the hands of Peshawar Zalmi, Quetta Gladiators and Multan Sultans.
Both teams, however, will be keen to extend their stay in the competition by winning this game.
