PSL 7: Lahore Qalandars beat Islamabad United, reaches final to face Multan Sultans

Lahore: Lahore Qalanadars cleared its way into the final of Pakistan Super League 2022 after it defeated Islamabad United by six runs in a thrilling match. The entire team collapsed at 162 in the last over. 

Qalandars will see Multan Sultans in the final match of the seventh edition of PSL. The match will be played at Qaddafi Stadium on Fbruary 27.

David Wiese's last-over heroics against Islamabad United took Lahore Qalandars a six-run victory and their their second Pakistan Super League (PSL) final.

Earlier, David Wiese's three sixes and one four in the last over have helped Lahore Qalandars post a fighting 168-run total in the do-or-die eliminator two.

Earlier, Lahore Qalandars set 169-run target for Islamabad United as both teams battle each other for a seat in the eliminator 2 of the Pakistan Super League's (PSL) seventh edition at Gaddafi Stadium.

The winner of this virtual semi-final will play Multan Sultans in the final on Sunday night.

Liam Dawson gave a big relief to his team as he dismissed Fakhar Zaman in the first over  Dawson bowled a short ball and Zaman — who is the highest scoring batter in PSL 7 — looked to cut it but got caught at the third man. Waqas Maqsood caught the ball to dismiss the batter for one run, leaving Fakhar in shock.

arlier, Lahore Qalandars have won the toss and elected to bat first against Islamabad United. The winner of this virtual semi-final will play Multan Sultans in the final on Sunday night.
