Imran Khan enquires after Tareen's health, says foreign minister


Islamabad: Foreign Minister (FM) Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan contacted disgruntled PTI leader Jahangir Tareen
According to the reports, FM Qureshi maintained that the prime minister called the PTI leader to enquire after his health as he has left for London for a medical check-up. “The prime minister was informed that Jahangir Tareen was unwell,” he added.
He said that that there was no pressure from the opposition. “The decision to decrease the prices of petrol was taken due to reduce the burden on the common people,” he added.
FM Qureshi further mentioned that the direction of the opposition is not one, one party wants elections and the other wants a change of government.
Prime Minister Imran Khan had announced Rs10 reduction in per litre prices of perol and fuel. He also announced Rs5 per unit reduction in electricity tariff.
During his televised address to the nation, the premier said the prices of petrol, diesel and electricuty would not be increased till next budget.
He further announced Rs30,000 internship stipend for each jobless graduate. Khan said the govenrment is going to waive 100 per cent tax on the Information Technolgy (IT) sector.
The premier further announced to provide loans to the students and farmers.
