Veteran actor Masood Akhtar passes away
Masood's funeral prayer will be offered after Asar prayer.
Lahore: Veteran film, TV, and stage actor and director Masood Akhtar passed away, GNN reported on Saturday.
Famous actor Masood Akhtar has been facing multiple medical complications, earlier, he was diagnosed with lung cancer.
According to details, Masood's funeral prayer will be offered after Asar prayer in Gulshan Ravi's Usman Block.
On January 28, Pakistani well-known senior actor Masood Akhtar was transferred into hospital during the critical condition.
According to the reports, the Pakistani actor was shifted from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital to Surayya Azeem Hospital where he is undergoing treatment. The doctors have completed his initial medical examination.
The actor’s wife informed that Masood Akhtar has been very ill for a few days now. He stopped eating and drinking for four days and is unable to walk and talk.
She has appealed for prayers of her husband’s recovery, adding that the actor was admitted to the hospital in the morning as his condition worsened.
Akhtar has made a huge contribution to the art of acting by performing in many movies, TV plays, and theater productions. He had had a long association with Alhamra Art Center, The Mall, and was a regular feature at Alhamra café every evening. One of his early plays, Paisa Bolta Hai was staged at Alhamra in the 1970s and it earned him immense popularity.
It is noteworthy here that actor Masood Akhtar received the “Pride of Performance Award” for his artistic services.
