Maulana Fazl wants to sabotage OIC FMs meeting in Islamabad: Fawad
It was hard for opposition to digest the conference of OIC FMs after a haitus of 15 years
Islamabad: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain on Monday deplored Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rahman’s announcement for holding a long march towards Islamabad on March 23.
He, in a tweet, said the real agenda of Fazlur Rehman was to sabotage meeting of the foreign ministers of members’ states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) scheduled in Islamabad on the same days (March 22-23).
The minister said it was hard for the opposition to digest the conference of OIC FMs after a haitus of 15 years. Therefore, they wanted to block Islamabad on March 23 when the whole country would be celebrating the Pakistan Day.
The minister said the government knew how to deal with the miscreants.
Earlier, announcing date for long march towards Islamabad, Pakistan Democtic Movement chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman directed the workers of Opposition parties to reach the federal capital on March 23.
He told reporters that the Opposition would hold a histroic public meeting at Shahra-e-Dastoor on March 23.
Fazl asked workers to reach Islamabad on the day. He challenged the government to complete 172 members in the National Assembly.
He said the Speaker Ntaional Assembly was bound to convene a meeting in seven days after the no-confidence motion is presented.
Fazl also demanded foreign funding case to be decided on March 15.
