The former Punjab chief minister says BAP and MQM-P are apparently tilting towards the Opposition


Lahore: Speaker Punjab Assembly and PML-Q leader Chaudhry Parvez Elahi on Wednesday said he stood by by his yesterday's statement.
In a statement, he said Jahangir Tareen group was talking about minus Bazdar, adding up to 12 members of PTI were in safe custody of the Opposition.
The former Punjab chief minsiter said Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) and MQM-P were apparently leaning towards the Opposition.
He said their (PML-Q) consultation process was underway, but teh previous decision was still intact, adding the meetings were taking place for a new decision.
Elahi said Prime Minister Imran Khan had come home to visit Chaudhry Shujaat Hussian.
He said the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had declared Monis Elahi as clear, adding the PTI spokesperson off the record talked about backing of NAB and FIA.
He said Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid wanted to be the speaker of National Assembly during Musharraf era.
Elahi asked Shaikh Rashid to advise the Prime Minister that confrntation would lead to loss as political confrontations damaged governments.
