Lahore: The iconic Gaddafi Stadium Lahore is all in its glory to host the historic white-ball games between Pakistan and Australia.
Following the recent political turmoil in country, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Saturday decided to shift the matches between Pakistan and Australia to Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
According to an official press release, the relevant cricket boards have mutually agreed— following discussions— to shift white-ball matches from Rawalpindi to Lahore on the dates as announced previously.
Both teams are in line to play three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and one T20I in Rawalpindi from March 29 to April 5.
The first match of the three-match ODI series is scheduled to take place on March 29 at the iconic Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.
The tickets for these matches are not up for grabs yet and this can also allow PCB to take the decision of shifting matches.
It is pertinent to mention here that Australia's white-ball series were initially scheduled in Lahore but after the request from Cricket Australia (CA), these matches were moved to Rawalpindi in a revised itinerary.
The 50-over matches will start at 3:00pm local time, while the first ball in the 20-over match will be bowled at 8:30pm local time.
