T20 tournament will be held in Sri Lanka


Islamabad: The upcoming edition of the Asia Cup will be held in Sri Lanka from August 27 to September 11, the Asian Cricket Council announced on Saturday.
The tournament will be played in a T20 format amid the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup in Australia later in October-November.
The decision was made during the ACC meeting, where it was decided that qualifies will be played from August 20.
The final of the tournament will be played on September 11.
Moreover, the ACC Members also unanimously decided that the tenure of Jay Shah as ACC President and that of the Executive Board along with its Committees will continue until the 2024 AGM.
Pakistan was represented at the meeting in Colombo by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Rameez Raja. He attended the meeting virtually.
