PML-N leader hopes that no-trust move would become successful with ‘neutrality’

Islamabad: Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) vice-president Maryam Nawaz said on Monday that if no-trust vote succeeds against PM Imran Khan, then party president Shehbaz Sharif will be PML-N’s candidate for the post of prime minister.
Maryam Nawaz said while replying to a question by journalists outside the Islamabad High Court (IHC). She said that joint opposition will sit and decide on the appointment of the next candidate for prime minister but Shehbaz Sharif would be the PML-N candidate for the PM slot. “Only God knows who will be elected as the new prime minister but for PML-N it will be Shehbaz Sharif,” she added.
The PML-N vice president said that the neutrality will result in the success of the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan. She said neutrality means upholding the Constitution and if someone is being neutral, it is a good thing. “If someone is being neutral, there is no reason to be miffed at it,” she said while addressing the prime minister.
She said that people had shown him ‘red card’ and they wanted him to go. “You have lost the game. Nobody will come to save you,” she said emphatically.
Lashing out at PM Khan, Maryam said that his party had been disoriented. “It has become an uphill task for you (PM Khan) to keep 10 of your party members in your fold, how could you manage to gather 1 million people in your rally,” she asked mockingly.
