The premier decides to nominate Chauhdry Pervaiz Elahi as the provincial chief executive, the minister says

Islamabad: State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib said on Monday that Chief Ministr Usman Buzdar had tendered his resignation to Pime Minister Imran Khan.

He confirmed this announcement in a tweet.
According to Habib, Prime Minister Imran Khan had nominated PML-Q's Chaudhry Pervez Elahi for the post.
The developments came after Speaker Punjab Assembly Pervaiz Elahi met the premier at Bani Gala.
"Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi meets Prime Minister Imran Khan. All issues were settled in the meeting. PML-Q expresses confidence in PM and announces support. Chief Minister Usman Bazdar tenders his resignation to PM. Prime Minister Imran Khan has decided to nominate Chaudhry Pervez Elahi as the new Chief Minister of Punjab," Habib wrote on Twitter.
