The news about differences between Hussain and his cousin Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi emerged after Prime Minister Imran Khan offered Punjab Chief Minister seat to ‘Elahi’.
The PML-Q leader— veteran politician and revered head of the Chaudhry family— further clarified that all the political decisions have been made with his consultation and support, terming the rumors regarding rifts within his family as ‘baseless’ and ‘meaningless’.

Hussain, however, said that although the number of young members in this assembly is more than in any previous assemblies,
The PML-Q leader further added, “The number of young members in the current assemblies was higher compared to previous assemblies and it’s wrong to blame or doubt their intentions”.
