Punjab Assembly session adjourned till April 6
The session was adjourned after a ruckus was created among the attendees.
Lahore: The Punjab Assembly session was adjourned till April 6 without any proceedings, GNN reported.
According to details, the session was held to elect the new Chief Minister of Punjab.
PML-Q leader Chaudhry Parvez Elahi and Hamza Shahbaz of PML-N were the two contestants for the office of the Chief Minister.
However, the session was adjourned after a ruckus was created among the attendees.
Meanwhile, The National Assembly session has been adjourned for an indefinite time period as Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri rejected the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan, ruling that the motion was against Pakistan's Constitution.
According to details, the Deputy Speaker dismissed the opposition's no-confidence motion terming it against Article 5 of the Constitution.
Shortly after the session began, Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry said that loyalty to the state was the basic duty of every citizen under Article 5.
