WhatsApp to block forward messages to multiple groups

Renowned chat app WhatsApp is going to introduce a new update where it is imposing a restriction on forwarding messages, WhatsApp tracker WABetaInfo noted.

In this latest WhatsApp update, users will now be warned when they try to forward an already forwarded message to multiple WhatsApp groups.

The alert will say "forwarded messages can only be sent to one group chat."

WABetaInfo's report says that the feature had previously been launched for some Android beta testers but is now being expanded to more testers and for iOS as well.

It is possible that the step was taken to control the propagation of misinformation worldwide.
