Shehbaz terms Imran Khan as Hitler; says ‘Niazi’ wrecked constitution
Imran Khan is using "Hitler-like tricks and tactics" to justify his blunders.
Islamabad: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif Thursday stated there is no difference between Prime Minister and Adolf Hitler, as Imran Khan is using "Hitler-like tricks and tactics" to justify his blunders.
While addressing to media persons outside Supreme Court (SC) today, the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) leader stressed Imran Khan has been throttling Pakistan’s constitution, just like Hitler did—who had taken over Germany by scrapping over the country.
“Economic catastrophe and corruption has pushed country many decades back,” adding that Pakistan is far behind other nations amid wrong policies.
Restoring dignity of the parliament and transparent elections are important for Pakistan, said former Chief Minister of Punjab.
The PML-N leader further expressed confidence that the Supreme Court will soon announce its verdict in the suo motu case, regarding political crisis.
Meanwhile, the United Opposition also said Pakistan Constitution Day will be observed on April 8 (tomorrow).
"On April 8, Pakistan Constitution Day will be observed across the country. Imams will highlight the sanctity of the constitution in Friday prayer sermons. Rallies will be held in provincial capitals," read official statement.
Moreover, "protection of Constitution of Pakistan Lawyers Convention" will also be held.
Last week, the Pakistan National Assembly (NA) was dissolved following political turmoil. However, a parliamentary election is likely to be held in 90 days.
