2 terrorists killed, Army officer and soldier martyred in South Waziristan operation

South Waziristan: Two terrorists were killed in the intense crossfire with the security forces on the night of 11th and 12th April in the area Angoor Adda of South Waziristan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Tuesday.
A Pakistan Army Major and a soldier embraced martyrdom during the crossfire, the military's media wing's statement said.
The Pakistan Army troops effectively engaged the terrorist’s location and resultantly, killed the terrorists whereas weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the posession of the killed terrorists.
The killed terrorists remained actively involved in terrorist activities against security forces, the ISPR's release said.
During the intense exchange of fire, Major Shujaat Hussain, 30, of Toba Tek Singh) and Sepoy Imran Khan, 27, of Naseerabad, who fought gallantly, embraced Shahadat (martyrdom).
“The area clearance is being carried out to eliminate any other terrorist found in the area."
Pakistan Army is determined to eliminate menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave officers and soldiers further strengthen our resolve”, the ISPR said.
